We liked the noble accommodation very much, the breakfast left nothing to be desired, especially we were happy about cheese and fresh fruit and vegetables. The wellness area is sufficient for a short stay, used it once. The whole ambience and the quiet location are beautiful, but the accommodation was a bit more expensive compared to our other B+B in Scotland.
The rooms do not have a view of the countryside, but of the farm.

A nice countryside location.
The hotel had an unwelcolming feel to it as there is no reception desk until well inside the building. Our room although clean was very tired and dated. Room lighting was very poor and almost dark. Bathroom has seen better days also and had mould on the roof. Breakfast service was extremely slow and food portions were kid sized. We had difficulty getting to our room as our way was blocked by people queing to get into the function room.

We loved the elegant decor of the room and the modern bathroom with a spacious shower. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location was convenient, with beautiful gardens and a clean spa area including an outdoor jacuzzi and sauna.
On our first night, there was a rowdy wedding party that disturbed our sleep with loud noise and shouting late into the night. the service staff in the restaurant seemed inexperienced and untrained, which resulted in fumbled service and confusion during meal times.

Sitting in front of the log fire relaxing with a bottle of sparkling wine on ice. Good food and friendly atmosphere.
Food took a while to come but when it arrived it was worth the wait.

Gorgeous hotel, feels high end luxury and cosy like home all at once. Dogs were welcome in the bar with water bowl and treats. Custom cocktail made by friendly barman. Lovely restaurant, amazing service and the best meal in ages. Clean pool and spa, divine massage.
Room was small, situated up a narrow spiral staircase. Dirty window frames throughout the hotel.

Not much
Yes- the hotel should not be classed as a 4 star hotel. It is tired, dirty and the rooms are tiny - not what your webpage depicted it to be at all. The service was terrible.
